Editor's Note - February 2016

In this space in last month’s issue, I mentioned how we at Consultant have been hard at work behind the scenes at Consultant360.com, and that exciting new enhancements were coming soon.

This month, I’m excited to tell you that Consultant360 has been refreshed and improved to serve you and your colleagues in primary care medicine even better than before. We know how busy you are during your time in clinic and outside of it, so over the past weeks and months my teammates and I also have been busy making the online medical content you seek even easier to find fast at the site.

We’ve streamlined the Consultant360 home page to make the entire site simpler to use. Because physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants access the content of Consultant and Consultant360 on smartphones and tablets, we’ve enhanced the site’s navigability and interactivity on mobile devices as well as on desktop browsers, so you can access our news, peer-reviewed articles, clinical images, and other information on the go, wherever you are and whenever you want. If you haven’t yet done so, download our tablet edition, available via a free app for Android and Apple mobile devices.

Consultant360 still delivers the latest medical news in a digestible format, along with the Did You Know? medical trivia calendar, exclusive Clinical Pearls of Wisdom, and specialty content from across medicine in our Medical Resource Centers. But we haven’t reduced the focal emphasis on clinical images, which continue to be the distinguishing feature of Consultant and Consultant360.

The Consultant360 digital experience also includes liking us on Facebook (facebook.com/Consultant360), following us on Twitter (@Consultant360) and Instagram (instagram.com/consultant360), and joining our LinkedIn group (linkedin.com/groups/7479229). And sign up for the Consultant360 e-newsletter to have news and clinical information delivered directly to your inbox.

As our name suggests, patients’ health is best cared for when primary care providers work in close consultation with each other and with the rest of the health care team. So when you read an article that inspires you, take a few moments to leave a comment at Consultant360.com. If you have a question, an opinion, or an idea, send it to Editor@Consultant360.com, or call me at (800) 237-7285, ext. 4396, and we’ll help start a dialogue with your peers. And we welcome you to submit review articles, clinical images, case reports, and commentaries. We value your input and want to hear from you, and so do your colleagues in primary care.
