What’s New for 2013
As we look forward to 2013, our 53rd year of publication, we are pleased to announce the launch of the tablet edition of Consultant—and a new online contest, Photo Quiz Challenge, on the official Web site of our journal, www.Consultant360.com.
Soon you will have access to Consultant on your Apple or Android tablet device. Register today on our Web site at www.Consultant360.com/tablet_apps. The free app will be available on the App Store and Android Market. The tablet edition includes all the features and articles from our monthly print journal, plus new interactive features, a photo archive, and videos as well as daily updates from our Web site.
Test your diagnostic prowess with this fun, photo-based series of quizzes, and pit your knowledge of medicine against that of your primary care colleagues. If you can determine the appropriate diagnosis for the patient in each case, you have a chance at winning a $1000 American Express gift card.
Here’s how it works. The Photo Quiz Challenge begins on January 14, 2013 and will run for 10 weeks. Every week, a series of cases will be provided, along with a set of multiple-choice answers. Points are awarded for correct answers, and scores are based on speed and accuracy. Your score will be tabulated and posted on a leaderboard to show where you rank against your peers. Log in each week for a new assortment of cases.
The healthcare professional with the highest amount of points collected over the course of 10 weeks will be declared the winner. And the winner will be awarded a $1000 American Express gift card and a free registration to the Cardiometabolic Risk Summit conference on October 20, 2013 in Las Vegas.
